Almay Black Eyeliner Review

Price: Approximately $7-$8
I absolutely love this eyeliner! I've purchased this at least 3 times already and it is definitely my go to eyeliner. It glides on easily and has a very smooth application which is great because it doesn't tug on your eye lids. Extremely longwearing and doesn't smudge throughout the day. I've never personally tried it but my friend used it for her waterline and it didn't budge all night.
It's water resistance power I wouldn't say is 100% though because if I try to wipe it off with water it does smudge a bit but its lasting power is still pretty darn good.
It also has Vitamin E in the formula which is of course a plus.
Another thing that I love about this eyeliner is that it's RETRACTABLE! I hate sharpening eyeliners. Whenever I sharpen my eyeliners I always see all the product getting wasted. Plus, it's always when I'm in a rush when my eyeliner needs to be sharpened and it drives me insane!
If you like a super sharp point whenever you apply eyeliner this actually comes with a built-in sharpener as well! All you'll need to do is pull off the end piece, sharpen, and place it back! So convienient! I've actually never used the sharpener before because I like mines rounded since I usually draw my eyeliner quite thick.
Great product, highly recommended, and will definitely repurchase!
I usually purchase mines from Ulta because I can use a coupon and get the most bang for my buck. :) You can pretty much purchase this product anywhere from Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, etc ...
Let me know if you have any recommendations for eyeliners :)

Update :)

Why hello there stranger :) it's been a little over 2 months since my last update ... I have no idea why it's so darn difficult for me to keep it up! I would often think about it & be like hey I could blog about this & that but once I get home I completely get distracted or I'm exhausted =\ I really do give props to all the YouTubers and Bloggers for their consistency let me tell you ... it's no easy task!
Just a quick update ... since August I have been quite busy. I've made it a mission to hang out with friends more often so I've been coordinating a lot of events. There hasn't been a weekend without plans for the longest time and I'm quite proud of that :) even if I don't put something together somebody does. Only problem is that I don't take any pictures ... too busy just enjoying other peoples company ...
ANYWAYS biggest news since my last update? I'M ENGAGED!!! AHHHH! :)
I've so excited and overjoyed. Not all of my friends know yet but I'm working my way to it. It's just so much better telling people in person than making a big FB announcement.
I'm going to end this post with that and hopefully it won't take me another 2 months for another blog post. :)

Ulta Haircut Review Part 2!

Hello everyone!!!
Continuation of my haircut experience at Ulta Salons...
This time I made sure that I arrived at the Salons ON TIME so that there would be no conflict and the first thing I did was to check with the Store Manager to see whether they would accept my coupon which expired the day before. The last thing that I wanted was to get the haircut and have to pay FULL PRICE for it.
Store Manager tells me that they would NOT accept it because the code is no longer valid in the computer system. I then tell her what had happened on Friday and she then tells me that the stylist does not have the authority to approve this which basically means she was telling me that I could not use my coupon. I continue to tell her that the stylist had told me thata she was sure that it'll be okay and that she was going to talk to the Store Manager after I left to confirm. She then tells me to go to the back and wait while she checks with the General Manager. Almost immediately I got frustrated because she was pretty much shooing me away, plus I did not like her attitude.
I walk towards the back and the Stylist that I was scheduled with comes over and asked if I needed help so I told her that I had an appointment today. She sits me down and before we even proceeded I told her what the situation was because again I didn't want to get my hair done without getting the coupon situation sorted out. Almost immediately she said okay let me check and almost seems quite unhappy about it. I did not like that.
After sitting there for 20 minutes, stylist comes over and literally tells me "we can do it" and proceeds. They had to figure out how to enter a code and give me the discount. I felt like they were treating me like a problem customer, which I believe that I was not. I simply wanted to get a hair cut using my coupon on Friday but had to rescheduled and was promised that the coupon would be accepted and they turn it around to treat me as if I did something wrong? If they were not able to accept the coupon I would have been okay with it. I would be bummed but not frustrated.
Anyways ... I DIGRESS!!!
The stylist asked what I wanted to do with my hair and I told her. She did not seem friendly at all. Almost rejected what I wanted to do with my hair and told me that she can do it another way. I insisted that I wanted my hair a particular way and pretty much questioned "well can't you just do this?" and she pretty much said okay I can do that. So apparently I have to offer suggestions as to how to get my hair cut now...
She shampooed and conditioned my hair then puts in some products on my hair literally tells me "okay we are going to wait 5 minutes" and leaves. I thought to myself "is this the hair treatment?" and while I waited the 5 minutes literally staring at the storage/laundry room with the door open. With people going in and out constantly within a few steps from me. I didn't like it. Made me feel like I was in the way.
Once that was done she proceeded to cut, style, and blow dry my hair. There wasn't my conversation at first but she started to lighten up a bit which made the experience a little itty better. However, she did have to step away a couple of times to help out other customers which I didn't mind too much. I would have liked her to be more courteous and tell me that she was going to step away instead of just walking away.
I didn't like how she cut my bangs and asked her to fix it. It was a little better but not enough. The rest of the haircut was pretty good. It wasn't an amazing haircut but it was decent. I still did not like the bangs though.
Overall experience? I hate it. I would probably almost never go back for a haircut. UNLESS, I got another deal and even then it'll be a maybe.
First of all, I did NOT get a scalp massage (unless that was the shampooing part and if so it's misleading). Second, employees were rude and gave me attitude. Third, I would have liked a little bit more communucation with the employees if they were trying to figure something out or step away. Fourth, it would have been nice if the stylist was more informative about the products she used (but that's just me I like to know).
Now that I got a couple of washes in my hair looks healthier now that all the split ends are gone and the bangs aren't horrible.
I suppose I shouldn't expect too much out of it but I was still expecting a better treatment.
Of course this experience will depend on each store and the stylist so I hope that everyone else has a good experience unlike mine!
Stay tuned for more updates!!!

Ulta Haircut Review Part 1!

Hello everyone!
I had scheduled my appointment for the haircut to be on Friday at 6pm but I was contacted the day prior asking if it would be possible to move the appointment to 5pm because the Stylist has a funeral to attend and needs to leave by 6pm. Of course I agreed! In order to accommodate I'll need to go to work early so that I can get off early.
Friday comes around and I got off work and of course got stuck in traffic which resulted in me being late by 15 minutes.
I felt so horrible because of course I don't want to be the reason why someone is late to a funeral! I rushed to the area and said that I had an appointment and that I was sorry that I was late. I was ready to make any accomodations. Stylist looked me up in the system and by the way keep in mind that I don't know who I'll be meeting with. She didn't even introduce herself to me or greet me in any way which didn't really bother me too much.
She then mentions that she would not be able to meet with me because she has a 6pm appointment. First thoughts?
WTF!!! Why would you reschedule me and schedule someone else in MY time slot? I would have made it to the 6pm appointment! I must say I was pretty irritated.
She proposes that she can take me but will spend a smaller amount of time on the treatment and at this point I was not happy but I agreed anyways because I just wanted to get it over with. I sat at the chair and immediately tells me that she would not be able to work on my hair because she didn't know how long my hair was. Thank you for adding on to my frustration.
All in all, we rescheduled for Sunday which is the day AFTER the coupon that I have expires. So I asked her if they will still accept the coupon and she insists that it'll be okay. I repeatedly asked if she was sure that it was okay and she goes to talk to the store manager who was busy so she told me that she would talk to her later. I trust her word on it and leave the store extremely upset.
I'll write up a review for my actual appointment tomorrow.
Nights!

Tips on Couponing: Save Money at Ulta!

Hey everyone!
Not too long ago I started really getting more into skincare and taking care of myself to really enjoy a better quality life. Now I'm not going to lie... I still eat junk food... I don't drink enough water... I don't work out consistantly... BUT slowly but surely I will be improving myself.
One of the main concerns that I have right now is definitely my acne and my acne scars. Which is why I've been focusing more on my regime and what I can do to improve it! Which of course comes with a price ... now let me tell you skincare is NOT cheap.
So what do I do to keep the cost down? COUPONS!
One of the ways that I save is by using coupons at Ulta which is usually posted on there website. It can be either $3.50 off of a $10 purchase or 20% off your entire purchase. It does vary and of course there are restrictions.
Here is an example of how I saved (and what I purchased this week):
Clean & Clear Blotting Sheets - $4.99
BUT they were BUY ONE GET ONE 50% OFF!!

So I got two so that I can take advantage of this deal. By the way I go through at least one packet a month so it was definitely something that I know I was going to use. Usually people always say that promotions and sales are only ways that get you to buy more than you actually need and use. However, if it's something that you know you are going to use then you really are saving yourself money.
Anyways ...
I also purchased a Neutragena Eye Makeup Remover for $7.49.
Clean & Clear - $4.99+$4.99 = $9.98 - $2.50(the promotion) = $7.48
Neautragena Eye Makeup Remover - $7.49
Total - $14.97
COUPON FROM ULTA - $3.50 OFF OF YOUR PURCHASE OF $10 OR MORE!
$14.97-$3.50= $11.47
Which means that I saved a total of $6! Of course these pricing doesn't include tax but you get the idea. Another way of thinking about it is that I basically got one of the Clean & Clear blotting sheets for FREE! :)
I've seen episodes on Ultimate Couponing and man oh man I wish that I have the patience to dedicate so much time to it! However, saving so much money and getting so much stuff for free I think it's totally worth it! I may not be to the extreme but I definitely know that I should be taking advantage of all these free resources.
Plus, the deals and coupons that I got for these transactions took me less than 10 minutes.
I hope this is helpful to everyone!

$18-$25 Haircut at ULTA this week ONLY!

Hey everyone!
Ulta is currently having a promotion going on where you can get a Haircut & Style for only $25! It expires this week though so make your reservations ASAP!
I also checked my email for email alerts from Ulta and as it turns out I received a coupon for 40% off any Salon Service! So instead of getting the regular Haircut & Style for $25 like I had originally planned I'm going to get the Signature Cut. :) YAY!
The Signature Cut includes shampoo, cut, style, treatment and a scalp massage!
Usually priced at $45 but with my coupon it'll only be approximately $18! Amazing. Of course, tip isn't included.
I've never gotten my haircut at Ulta before but heck for $18-$25 it's worth a try. Plus, I'm only planning on going for a trim and just having them do a bit more layering for me. You can't possibly mess that up right right?
Since I donate my hair I like to keep my hair in good condition. So this trim before my big cut which I plan on doing in November will help get rid of most of the split ends that I have.
I'll do an update on my hair next week and see what my thoughts are on it. :)

Swedish Skin BUY ONE GET TWO FREE PROMOTION & Review

Hey everyone!
Today I wanted share with everyone this promotion that has been going on with a company called Swedish Skin. They are currently having a Buy One Get TWO Free deal, no promo codes needed. Offer expires sometime in August, please check the companies website for more details about the offer.
One of the main ingredients that they use in their skin care products is this amazing apple. More specifically the Scandinavian apple which contains PhytoCellTech Mallas Domestica. This apple is so rare that there are only 4 trees in the world that produces this type of apple.
In a nutshell, this apple's stem cells are so rich in factors that help protect and maintain a lot of the vital skin stem cells on our skin. As a result helps delay the aging of essential cells, protects the longevity of our skin stem cells, and promotes the cell to regenerate.
Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer
$23.99
Review: I've used the first jar of this product and it lasted me for about maybe 2-3 months. I didn't use the product consistantly though because I didn't really like how it didn't absorb into my skin completely. The texture of the product is gel-like but it stills has a layer that sits on top of my skin. So what I ended up doing is just applying it on my neck instead of my face. I may start using it as a night moisturizer on my face though since I'm starting my second jar soon. The product is quite moisturizing and it doesn't break me out when I did use it on my face. Overall, I like it but may not be enough for me to repurchase.
Anit-Aging Eye Cream
$19.99
Review: I'm a little less fond of the eye cream than I am of the Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer because when you get it in your eye it stings like crazy! Even when I just put it close to my eyes it'll somehow manage to get into my eyes and cause me to tear up and sting. I've tried other eye creams before and have never had that happen to me before. It also sits on top of my skin when I apply it around my eye area as well. Since I have three jars of these I started to use a Qtip to apply my eye cream so that it's more precise and reduces the chances of me getting it in my eyes. So far so good, but I wouldn't recommend this product.
Overall experience: I orginally puchased another product as well which was the Face Moisturizer with SPF 15 and was looking forward to recieving it but it turned out that they ran out of stock. Which I didn't know about until I contacted them and was bought to my attention that they didn't charge me for it because they didn't have it in stock. I felt that if they ran out a product they should have emailed me to notify me. I suppose it was good that they didn't charge me from the beginning but hey I don't check my statements all the time!
Products were okay, I think the moisturizer is worth trying considering how amazing the deal is. However, I would say that it is safe to pass on the eye cream.
I may give an updated post about the products once I have officially finished using all of the products. Just to see if there are any results in my skin. We will see how it goes though.
I hope this helps you! :) Any questions feel free to let me know.
Enjoy!

Resume Tip - Contact Information

Hello everyone!

When applying for a job you will always be asked to submit, attach, copy & paste or any other way to turn in your resume to review. Now I will say this again and again but not everyone is an amazing resume writer. I will even admit that not even my resume is all that impressive. Depending on what kind of industry, position, and level the job you are applying for resumes are viewed differently. We don't expect an entry level high school graduate to have a resume comparable to someone who have years of experience applying for an executive position. However, one of things that I notice time after time with all of the resumes that I receive regardless of the position that they are applying for is the amount of people who list INCORRECT CONTACT INFORMATION.

Even if your resume was amazing and you are perfect for the job, what good is it if the employer can't contact you?

A lot of times people will list their address, email, and phone number. The most popular way for an employer to contact their candidates is by calling them and this is the most changed information out of the the rest.

Alright some of you may be thinking if your resume is not up to par you may not be contacted. Well you're wrong. Sometimes resumes may not be amazing but when there are a limited number of people applying you just might be contacted to see how well you during the phone interview. Which is where it's your time to shine, but that's a completely different topic. All in all, it comes down to your contact information. If we can't contact you, we can't move forward with you.

I hope this encourages you to TRIPLE check your contact information before submitting your resume because it is commonly overlooked.

Any questions feel free to let me know :)

Alba Botanica - Aloe & Green Tea Oil-free Moisturizer Review

Hello everyone!

I've just finished using the Alba Botanica - Aloe & Green Tea Oil-free Moisturizer and it lasted me about 3-4 months.
Price - $17.99

Description - It has certified organic aloe vera and green tea ingredients. This oil-free moisturizer is used to help replenish your skin and protect it from dehydration leaving you with a healthy complexion. Ingredients used are great for not only moisturizing your skin but help repair your skin as well as protecting it from free radicals. Great for all skin types.

Pros - Affordable. Softens your skin. Absorbs quickly. Not greasy. Moisturizes. Doesn't irritate your skin. Great for all skin types.

Cons - Doesn't improve my skin over time.

Repurchase - Yes!

Overview - Prior to using this moisturizer I've had some pretty bad acne and once I had switched over to this from the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer my skin has definitely improved and my acne resided. I do still break out but I don't get any big nasty painful ones, instead now I just have minor small pimples here and there. Definitely a great moisturizer. I will definitely consider repurchasing this product but it isn't something that I must have. I feel that because my skin is still so acne prone I want to get rid of my acne 100% first. It's nothing against this product, I just personally want something that will fulfill my current needs. If I wanted a good moisturizer this product is definitely the way to go. My skin did improve from using this product but after a while it pretty much remained the same so at the moment I want something that will continue to enhance the texture, appearance, and health of my skin.

If you have any questions please feel free to let me know!

I hope you enjoy this!

Have a great weekend!

Spring / Bridesmaid Nail Look ! =]

Hello everyone!

One of my friends just got married this weekend and I had the honor of being one of her bridesmaids. We were responsible for our own hair, make-up, nails, and etc. Truth be told, I'm not good in any of those areas but I definitely love being creative! So I decided to create a simple look for my nails as pictured below. I got tons of compliments :) which is always good.

I'll have pictures up of my hair once I get a hold of it. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of it ... so if I see any I'll have them posted :)

Products Used:

Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat

Wet n Wild Wild Shine - Dreamy Poppy

CQ - French White

L.A Colors Art Deco - Silver Glitter (couldn't find the actual name -___-')

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear - Peach Daiquiri (you can't really see it but it's my top coat)

I absolutely loved the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme War as my top coat because it not only give it a nice shine but it's a good twist than a typical clear coat on top. It really gave it a really nice shine to my nails with a hint of coral glitter. LOVE IT!

Hope this inspires some people to do some nail are :)

Enjoy!

Resume Tip #2 - Attachments

When applying for a job online you'll be asked to fill out some information electronically and to attach your resume as well as other documents you'll like to share with the employer like cover letters, recommendations, and even certifications.

One of the things that I encounter with at LEAST once a week is when applicants fail to actually attach their resume. I'll try to open the document and it'll be either a blank document, their cover letter, or even something completely irrelevant. I've even had someone attach a document that didn't have the company name correct AND it wasn't even the applicants name. I assumed that the applicant attached maybe another persons cover letter that was saved on the computer. Regardless of how that happened at the end of the day it looks bad on YOU.

Majority of the time employers will not try to contact or reach out to you for your attachment. I understand that it's frustrating that something so minor can potentially jeopardize your chances of moving to the next step, but if you think about it we go through hundreds of resumes and to be frank we just don't have time to reach out to you.

Plus, something as simple as forgetting to attach your resume can lead the employers to think about your work performance. Attaching a document is such a simple task, yet it is one of the most important steps. This may lead the recruiter or whoever is reviewing the resume to question your attention to details, ability to multitask, and etc. Would you forget to attach an important report that needs to be sent out? Would you forget to change minor details on an email or letter? Recruiters will reflect on your application on your job performance and to make any excuses to pass on you.

Trust me, it's a lot easier to pass on a candidate than to reach out to them.

I hope that this was helpful to you and make you triple check your application and information before submitting it!

=)

Resume Tip #1 - Spelling Errors

I decided that I would try to give some advice on resume tips and anything that I can think of because as a Recruiter I go through hundreds of resumes and one of my personal pet peeves are spelling errors. If you have 1-2 errors fine, I'll give you that. I get it we're only human, but if you have a page full of errors it is definitely something that will start to reflect on you. Often time when I start to see a lot of spelling errors I tend to just pass on the candidate.

Another thing is typically employers will send you an application to fill out to bring to the interview or they will have you complete it on site. Be sure that your spelling errors are kept to a minimum as well. I understand that you're nervous you're trying to fill it out as quickly as possible but always be sure that you write neatly and with almost no errors.

Lesson to be learned? Always check your spelling.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Make Up Remover Cleanser Review

Hey everyone! I've finally finished using the Aveeno Positively Radiant Make Up Remover Cleanser not too long ago and would like to do a quick review on it :) Product Claims: "Gently dissolves makeup and impurities to leave your skin clean and refreshed without over-drying. This foaming cleanser, with moisture-rich Soy extract, leaves your skin soft, smooth and radiant. Oil-free, soap-free and noncomedogenic, this cleanser is gentle enough for everyday use, even on sensitive skin." Taken from website. Price: Approximately $7.49 Pros: Takes off makeup, extremely affordable. Cons: Drying. Depending on my skin this product can dry out my skin a bit, nothing major though. Doesn't always take off my eyeliner. Overall review: I like this product, it has lasted me for quite some time probably around 4-5 months. Possibly even more since I didn't use the product everyday. Repurchase: Yes & No. I would probably repurchase if I don't find anything else. However, I wouldn't repurchase because it wasn't a product that I absolutely love. I hope that this review was helpful! :)

I LOVE FRESH & EASY!!!!

Hey everyone!

I've got some great news :) !!! I finally have a job and is starting my first day tomorrow! I'm sooo excited to finally start working, getting more experience, and finally grow in my field of study. Of course, it's always nice to have income coming in :)

Since where I will be working at now will require us to wear business casual it only means one thing! SHOPPING!!! Although, I do feel bad for shopping since I technically haven't even started work yet ... but I have literally 4 outfits at most for work =\ ... and I've worn about 3 of them to my 3 rounds of interviews ... ahhhh!

On another note, so that means that I have to bring lunch now! For the sake of saving money I try not to buy food because heck $8-$10 here and there really adds up. Hell, that means almost $80 a weeks! Usually, I would just pack some left over food from dinner to lunch but I wanted to try something a little different because I'll literally be eating the same meal 3 times in a roll (my mom cooks for two days ...) ANYWAYS, I'm blabbering. If you're too lazy too cook anything or if you can't cook at all ... you'll obviously resort to buying food BUT if you're going to buy food go to FRESH & EASY! Extremely affordable, great portions, fresh, and tasty!

Here is a picture of the goods I got today :)

3 Pastas, 1 Lasagna, and 3 bags of snacks all for $14.63!!

I apologize for not having another picture of the pastas that I got ... but for $14.63 I have lunch for 4 days AND snacks that'll last me at least for the entire month (depending on how much of a fat ass I want to me)! Just taking my pastas into consideration I literally only pay about $3-$4 for lunch. Now that is definitely way more afforadable.
I will say that I will resort to packing left over dinner but I wanted to give myself a cheap thrill of celebration :)
Plus, I got a really good deal because they had a coupon where if you spend $20 you get $5 off. =)
FRESH & EASY I HEART YOU!

Clean & Clear Scrub Soft Purifying Cleanser Review !

Hey everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing Valentine's Day!

Here's a review of this cleanser that I finished a while back, enjoy!!!

Product: Clean & Clear Scrub Soft Purifying Cleanser
Price: $5-$7
Pros: Very gentle, soft scrubs, doesn't dry your skin out.
Cons: Doesn't help with acne.
Uses: Twice daily
Benefits: Gently exfoliates your skin leaving behind a soft clean skin.
Experience: This product lasted me about 3-4 months. I used this product on and off because when I was using this product I was breaking out a lot and it didn't contribute to improving it. After using this product my face usually feels extremely soft and brighten but it doesn't really have any long term effects on my skin.
Recommended/Repurchase: I would recommend this product for people who aren't acne prone because when my acne resided it I felt this product worked best. Overall, I would repurchase this product if my skin was not as inflamed.
I hope this is helpful for you guys!
More reviews on their way =)
Have a great day!

Gasbuddy.com Review

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to share with you guys this amazing website that I've been using for over a year and realized that not many people are aware of this site which is such a shame!

Gasbuddy.com is a website that allows you to check your local gas prices simply by entering your zip code. It even provides you with the prices of Regular Gas, Midgrade, Premium and even Diesel Fuel in your area. Which may not be very helpful if you are very familiar with your area, BUT it is definitely useful when you go to a different city, your friends house, or even another state!

The website even gives you some tips on how you can save gas!

Another great thing about this website is that it's updated very frequently so the prices are pretty accurate. Once you put in your zip code it'll even tell you how long ago it was updated.

If anything you should totally check out the website it'll only take a couple of seconds! Plus, it's extremely easy to use!

Alright, I know I know the prices may not vary that much but heck if you can save a couple of cents just by driving a block away why the hell not! Especially, if it's on the way to where you are going. I will suggest not to drive out of the way to save a couple of cents though because by the time you get there and go back it really does defeat the whole purpose of it.

I hope you enjoy the website as much as I do, have fun saving money! Little by little. It all adds up in the end =)

Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream Review

Hello everyone!

I know I've been MIA for a little under a month but that's cause I've been studying my butt off for my certification, which by the way didn't go too well but it's all gravy. I actually really did learn a lot while I was studying so it didn't all go down the drain. Hahaha

On another note, I have a couple of other blog posts in mind that I'll be posting up very shortly =) I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Well, here you go I've just finished using the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream very recently and wanted to share my experience with everyone =).

Price: $18.00 for 0.5oz

Pros: Very moistruirzing.

Cons: A bit pricey. Doesn't really absorb very well when I pat it under my eyes.

Uses: Twice a day.

Benefits: Helps lock in your skins own natural moisture to keep it night and plump. Suitable for all skin types.

Experience: The eye cream lasted me about 3-4 months? Which is pretty good. When I first started using it I had mixed feelings about it. I did feel that it definitely helped plump up my under eyes because I put some one my eye lid (I have no idea why I did that ... you're not suppose to put it on your actual eye lids ... lols) and it definitely did see some plumping action going on there. Hahaha However, I didn't like how it didn't really absorb into my skin that well it kind of sat on top of my skin for a bit. Over time though I didn't see the product working as effectively as it did when I first started.

Recommended/Repurchase: I will probably not recommend or repurchase this product because overall it was an okay product. It didn't give me any irritations but it also didn't really do much for me other than moisturize my eyes.

I hope that this review was helpful =) any additional questions please feel free to ask away!

Have a great day!

New Product! Sassy Nails Crackle Glaze Review

Hello everyone!

I came across this amazing product about a year ago and ever since then I've been getting so many compliments so I decided that I'll do a quick review on it and share it with everyone :) .

So the product that I absolutely love is dun dun dun Sassy Nails Crackle Glaze!

Here's a quick tutorial of what I did to achieve this look :)

Step 1: Apply a clear coat to protect your nails from turning yellow :)

Step 2: Apply 2 coats of any base coat of your choice, here I chose silver.

Step 3: Apply a THIN layer of your Sassy Nails Crackle Glaze, color here is Midnight Purple

Step 4: Let it dry!

Voila!!! Here is your masterpiece! :)

Here are several tips when using the product:

  • When applying the Sassy Nails Crackle Glaze be sure to apply a very THIN layer, I find that using a thin layer is best because when the polish is thicker the polish doesn't crack as much.
  • After applying the Sassy Nails Crackle Glaze I like to use a hairdryer to blow dry my nails. By doing so, I've realized that the results of the cracks are definitely more shattered and spread out.

With that said I definitely recommend this product to everyone :) it is a bit pricey though. I purchased this at the mall for about $15 bucks and it is time consuming to use but it's definitely a good investment :)

Let me know how it goes for you too! I'd love to hear about it :)

Enjoy!!!

Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion Review

Hey everyone!

I just finished the very last bit of this product last week and decided to do a quick review on it :)
Clinique's Dramatically Moisturizing Lotion

$24.50

Overview: Initially, I had purchased this product because I've used it back in the day in high school and loved it! It was moisturizing and kept my skin super soft. However, since high school my skin has changed and has been more oily and acne prone. As a result, this product has not worked as wonderfully as it has in the past.

Here's a little background about this particular product. I went to Ulta to pick up some makeup because I wanted to try out something new and at the time I had some acne :( booo!! The worker there had helped me match my skin to see which shade was best for me and noticed that I had some acne so she asked me what moisturizer I was using. I proceeded on telling her that I was using the Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and she completely freaked out! Turns out that she used to work for Clinique and apparently the 3 Step System that Clinique has is one of the worst products that they offer and the worst product that I can use. She didn't comment on the cleanser but she did comment on the toner and moisturizer.

Toner Comment: The toner is apparently nothing but alcohol which doesn't really do anything but dry up your skin.

Moisturizer Comment: Is filled with oils which is horrible for acne prone skin because it will only clog up your pores and contribute to more acne. She had also mentioned that it has the same ingredients as Jergen's Body Lotion, yikes! To be honest I didn't research the ingredients and compared them but it totally freaked me out. As she had advised, stop using it immediately ... and I totally did!

As a result she recommended me another product which I have started using but I'll save that for another post when I have finished using it :)

Back to the review! As soon as I stopped using the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion my acne had started to reside. I was amazed! I suppose I didn't really think about my moisturizer contributing to my acne. The reason why is because the lotion didn't make me break out more but it didn't help with minimizing my acne. Also, I was trying to finish up the product so I didn't really think much of it. Since I don't like wasting products what I ended up doing is using it on my neck instead of my face and have officially completely finished the product! Yay!

Pros: Definitely moisturizing, product is affordable.

Cons: Does not help with existing acne.

Verdict/Recommendation: I would definitely not repurchase this product just because it didn't help with my acne and of course because I'm a bit traumatized by the Ulta workers comment about it having the same ingredients as Jergen's body lotion, funny thing is that I'm actually currently using the Jergen's Body Lotion LOL, what are the odds of that!

I'm not sure if there are any difference with the gel form of this product but I'm not sure if I would try it out. Maybe sometime in the future?

Welps, please feel free to let me know if you have any recommendations or even products that I should try! :)

More to come!

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone!

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable, safe, and fun New Years!

It's a brand new year and a new start. I hope that everyone haven't broken their New Year's Resolution yet :)

I just realized that I didn't come up with New Year's Resolution this year ... bummer ... but here it is :)

For the new year I've decided that my 3 New Year's Resolutions are the following:

1. Be more optomistic

With all this time in my hands lately it has really given me the opportunity to evaluate virtually everything in my life and I've noticed that lately I lost a little bit of myself. I was being so pessimistic and just unhappy with things. My temper fluctuates and I hate this side of me. So for the new year, I'm going to work on being more optomistic and not sweating the small stuff.

2. Take more pictures

I constantly tell myself this that I don't take enough pictures! I go out with my friends and come back with like 4 pictures and a good chance that they are all pictures of food are pretty darn high. So I strive to take more pictures and capture as many memories as I possibly can. It's difficult to stop the fun and take pictures though lols

3. Be more consistent

If you've read my previous post you would know that one of the things that I lack in life is consistency. This can be applied to literally everything that I do, and this year I'm definitely going to be more consistent on the things to do instead of just giving up.

So there you have it :) my New Year's Resolution.

What are some of your New Year's Resolution? Anything exciting? :)

Welps, have fun everyone!!!
