As mentioned previously your resume is extremely important and should definitely be something that you spend a lot of time on. You cannot magically create your resume in a day or two. It's one of those things that takes time and days to complete. In my case, since I am trying to actively find a job I'm going to actively apply for jobs and submit my resume while making changes here and there. I spent several days putting my resume together and I feel that it is definitely presentable at the moment. It ain't perfect but it will definitely be enough, at least that's what I think. Hahaha.
Here is a quick guide to what you should make sure of on your resume:
1. Make sure it's spelling & grammar error free
2. Make sure your contact information is there & accurate (Trust me you'll be surprised how many people don't put their information on their resume, sometimes the number isn't even working!)
3. Let a 3rd person review your resume (It's ALWAYS a good idea to get a third opinion on your resume, sometimes they can see errors or changes that you may not have noticed)
4. Once you're done with your resume let it sit and review again the next day
5. Before submitting make sure you review your resume for the last time!
6. Be sure that it's easily readable & it's organized
7. Formatting is okay!
Once your resume is up to par it is time to submit it everywhere!

1st & 2nd: Step to Finding a Job
Why hello there!
As mentioned before I'm going to blog my experience in finding a job and try to help out my fellow job seekers out there. Of course, I'm not guranteeing anyone that you'll find a job by following my basic guide but it will definitely do more good than harm. Throughout my blog posts, I'll include some descriptions of why each step is crucial and how it will benefit you.
So what's the first step in getting back into the work force?
Letting EVERYONE around you know that you are looking for work.
One of the most important things that people will repeatedly tell you is the importance of dun dun dun NETWORKING. Hahaha, I bet you knew that was coming but trust me, 48% of people land a job by networking. Now that is some high statistics.
Here are the rest of stats of how people land a job:
My Progress: I've contacted several people letting them know that I am on the lookout for a Full-time job, as well as some family members. :) However, I will admit that they don't seem very responsive it's definitely better than nothing. Even if they can offer advice it is definitely very valuable.
Second Step!
Giving your resume a makeover. This is definitely crucial and should take a lot of your time and effort because your resume is a representation of you. I was a recruiter for about 8 months so I've done my share of looking through and sorting through resumes. I can't stress enough how important your resume is because I see a lot of these minor errors that are just so frustrating and careless. Truth be told, it really makes you look bad. Spelling errors and formating is definitely preventable.
Now I'm not saying that your resume should look amazing, well it should but if you are in a rush to find a job as long as it is presentable it's fine. As long as it is error free, formatting isn't off, and it's readable you are on the right track. Also, bonus points if you can navigate through your resume easily if a recruiter is looking at your resume and is trying to figure it out. Chances are they don't have that kind of time and will pass up your resume.
Well there you go, take a few days to let everyone you know that you are looking for work and start tweaking your resume!
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to let me know, I am definitely open to any type of criticism and willing to give any advice :)
Enjoy!

Officially Unemployed
Hello everyone,
That's if anyone is even reading my blog at all, hahaha!
Yup, that's right I am indeed officially unemployed and is actively looking for a job. Just need to brush off the dust from my resume, update, and apply for everything!
So my internship unexpectedly ended on Friday and I've got to admit I'm pretty bummed about it. Of course I am a bit upset about it, but hey you know what I believe that this can definitely be a blessing in disguise. The V.P of Human Resources told me that my internship was coming to an end on Wednesday and that I had a choice of whether I would like to work until Friday or that Wednesday would just be my last day since she understands that it'll be quite difficult for me to continue work now that she has pretty much ended my time there. Conclusion? I chose to work the last two days. It was definitely extremely difficult for me to continue working but hey I'm not going to have a job I might as well get the most out of what I have left. Not only that but I owe it to my coworkers and all the managers that I've worked with to pretty much say my goodbyes and thank yous for the great experience that they have given me thoughout this internship.
I am definitely feeling very scared, nervous, anxious, and just a whole bunch of mixed emotions!
Well, now that I don't really have any excuses. More blog posts will definitely be posted! I think that with all of my experience in recruiting I can blog about what I'm going through in my job hunt. I can even give advice! I know that I don't have much experience but I've learned so much during that 8 months I was working. :)
The hardest part? Staying positive!
More will be updated!

Costume Reimbursement :)
Good morning everyone!
So I just got my reimbursement back :) a total of $30.43!! So exciting, it took about 2 weeks for it to reach my account, which I honestly don't think it is that bad. I just kind of assume that since Halloween just passed it's been pretty busy for them and took them a while to actually get to my request.
Would I ever purchase another costume from them again? HELL YEAH!!
Shipping was quick, costumes arrived brand new, and they have costumes for a great deal! Besides, if you are like me you would totally take advantage of the Low Price Gurantee policy that they have. I searched literally everywhere so that I can have them match the price and give me the 20% discount. Which in my opinion, I got an AMAZING deal out of. I purchased two costumes and with all of the discounts I only paid about $25 for each costume and that is including both TAX and SHIPPING!
I definitely recommend this website to anyone and everyone to their costume purchases. :)
I will definitely be purchasing my costumes from them in the future. I'm very pleased with everything.
Oh and one last thing ... they have a lot of variety of costumes too!
Yeah, I know Halloween is over, but hey for future reference!

Update on Costume Reimbursement
So I have yet to recieve any type of compensation for finding a cheaper alternative in another online store. I've sent an email to follow up earlier today, but I haven't recieved any responses yet. I'm a little sadden because I was pretty hyped up about it. I will however, not give up on this and will continue to follow up. I'll probably call tomorrow if I don't get any responses.
On another note, Halloween was awesome! I had a good time, nothing too crazy but it was just right. I even went trick or treating the next day which is always nice. I haven't went trick or treating in the longest time! Of course, I went with a bunch of kids :)
I hope that everyone had a safe and memorable Halloween like I did!
Currently, taking a short break from reading for my PHR exam. I'm a little freaked out because I've been slacking off so much and now I'm super behind! There is no way that I will pass this test but I ain't giving up that easily! I've already paid for it, I'm going to take it regardless!
More updates to come!
