Tips on Couponing: Save Money at Ulta!

Hey everyone!
Not too long ago I started really getting more into skincare and taking care of myself to really enjoy a better quality life. Now I'm not going to lie... I still eat junk food... I don't drink enough water... I don't work out consistantly... BUT slowly but surely I will be improving myself.
One of the main concerns that I have right now is definitely my acne and my acne scars. Which is why I've been focusing more on my regime and what I can do to improve it! Which of course comes with a price ... now let me tell you skincare is NOT cheap.
So what do I do to keep the cost down? COUPONS!
One of the ways that I save is by using coupons at Ulta which is usually posted on there website. It can be either $3.50 off of a $10 purchase or 20% off your entire purchase. It does vary and of course there are restrictions.
Here is an example of how I saved (and what I purchased this week):
Clean & Clear Blotting Sheets - $4.99
BUT they were BUY ONE GET ONE 50% OFF!!

So I got two so that I can take advantage of this deal. By the way I go through at least one packet a month so it was definitely something that I know I was going to use. Usually people always say that promotions and sales are only ways that get you to buy more than you actually need and use. However, if it's something that you know you are going to use then you really are saving yourself money.
Anyways ...
I also purchased a Neutragena Eye Makeup Remover for $7.49.
Clean & Clear - $4.99+$4.99 = $9.98 - $2.50(the promotion) = $7.48
Neautragena Eye Makeup Remover - $7.49
Total - $14.97
COUPON FROM ULTA - $3.50 OFF OF YOUR PURCHASE OF $10 OR MORE!
$14.97-$3.50= $11.47
Which means that I saved a total of $6! Of course these pricing doesn't include tax but you get the idea. Another way of thinking about it is that I basically got one of the Clean & Clear blotting sheets for FREE! :)
I've seen episodes on Ultimate Couponing and man oh man I wish that I have the patience to dedicate so much time to it! However, saving so much money and getting so much stuff for free I think it's totally worth it! I may not be to the extreme but I definitely know that I should be taking advantage of all these free resources.
Plus, the deals and coupons that I got for these transactions took me less than 10 minutes.
I hope this is helpful to everyone!

$18-$25 Haircut at ULTA this week ONLY!

Hey everyone!
Ulta is currently having a promotion going on where you can get a Haircut & Style for only $25! It expires this week though so make your reservations ASAP!
I also checked my email for email alerts from Ulta and as it turns out I received a coupon for 40% off any Salon Service! So instead of getting the regular Haircut & Style for $25 like I had originally planned I'm going to get the Signature Cut. :) YAY!
The Signature Cut includes shampoo, cut, style, treatment and a scalp massage!
Usually priced at $45 but with my coupon it'll only be approximately $18! Amazing. Of course, tip isn't included.
I've never gotten my haircut at Ulta before but heck for $18-$25 it's worth a try. Plus, I'm only planning on going for a trim and just having them do a bit more layering for me. You can't possibly mess that up right right?
Since I donate my hair I like to keep my hair in good condition. So this trim before my big cut which I plan on doing in November will help get rid of most of the split ends that I have.
I'll do an update on my hair next week and see what my thoughts are on it. :)

Swedish Skin BUY ONE GET TWO FREE PROMOTION & Review

Hey everyone!
Today I wanted share with everyone this promotion that has been going on with a company called Swedish Skin. They are currently having a Buy One Get TWO Free deal, no promo codes needed. Offer expires sometime in August, please check the companies website for more details about the offer.
One of the main ingredients that they use in their skin care products is this amazing apple. More specifically the Scandinavian apple which contains PhytoCellTech Mallas Domestica. This apple is so rare that there are only 4 trees in the world that produces this type of apple.
In a nutshell, this apple's stem cells are so rich in factors that help protect and maintain a lot of the vital skin stem cells on our skin. As a result helps delay the aging of essential cells, protects the longevity of our skin stem cells, and promotes the cell to regenerate.
Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer
$23.99
Review: I've used the first jar of this product and it lasted me for about maybe 2-3 months. I didn't use the product consistantly though because I didn't really like how it didn't absorb into my skin completely. The texture of the product is gel-like but it stills has a layer that sits on top of my skin. So what I ended up doing is just applying it on my neck instead of my face. I may start using it as a night moisturizer on my face though since I'm starting my second jar soon. The product is quite moisturizing and it doesn't break me out when I did use it on my face. Overall, I like it but may not be enough for me to repurchase.
Anit-Aging Eye Cream
$19.99
Review: I'm a little less fond of the eye cream than I am of the Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer because when you get it in your eye it stings like crazy! Even when I just put it close to my eyes it'll somehow manage to get into my eyes and cause me to tear up and sting. I've tried other eye creams before and have never had that happen to me before. It also sits on top of my skin when I apply it around my eye area as well. Since I have three jars of these I started to use a Qtip to apply my eye cream so that it's more precise and reduces the chances of me getting it in my eyes. So far so good, but I wouldn't recommend this product.
Overall experience: I orginally puchased another product as well which was the Face Moisturizer with SPF 15 and was looking forward to recieving it but it turned out that they ran out of stock. Which I didn't know about until I contacted them and was bought to my attention that they didn't charge me for it because they didn't have it in stock. I felt that if they ran out a product they should have emailed me to notify me. I suppose it was good that they didn't charge me from the beginning but hey I don't check my statements all the time!
Products were okay, I think the moisturizer is worth trying considering how amazing the deal is. However, I would say that it is safe to pass on the eye cream.
I may give an updated post about the products once I have officially finished using all of the products. Just to see if there are any results in my skin. We will see how it goes though.
I hope this helps you! :) Any questions feel free to let me know.
Enjoy!
