Today, I've finally dropped of my contribution at Out of the Closet in Pasadena and wanted to do a quick blog post on it.
Out of the Closet is a Thrift Store and has been in business since 1990. Since then, they have helped raise funds AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) HIV/AIDS care and medical treatment programs. They have locations in San Franscisco, Los Angeles, CA and in Florida.
What's amazing about Out of the Closet Thrift Stores is not only do that generate larget amounts of income that help fund the medical services some of their locations even offer free HIV testing and counseling in a private area of the store.
There are so many ways that you can contribute, either by dropping off the goods at their location, if you're too lazy to drop it off you can even schedule a pick up for larger items, and of course online contributions are always accepted.
Here is a list of SOME of the items that they can accept:
- Furniture
- Electronics
- Clothing
- Books
- Shoes
- CDs
- Artwork
- Etc ...
Here is a list of SOME of the items that are NOT acceptable:
